Craves sweets, spices, alcohol, sometimes cold drinks; hunger at 11 a.m.; aversion or aggravation from milk/fats; desires eggs at times; thirst increased in heat [Hahnemann], [Allen], [Tyler]. Acids aggravate heartburn.

Sulphur is the central antipsoric—it raises reactivity, re-opens outlets (skin, bowels), and relieves congestions that follow suppression [Hahnemann], [Kent]. Its thermal signature is internal heat with intolerance of external heat: vertex heat, burning feet, flushes, and desire for cool air while chills accompany exposure from sweat. The modal matrix—worse heat, warmth of bed, standing, bathing, suppression; better open air, coolness, uncovering feet, rest—repeats from Skin to Rectum, Head, Chest. Tissue-wise, epidermis and mucosa dominate (itch, excoriation, catarrh), with portal venous and lymphatic participation (piles, venous stasis, enlarged nodes).
