This compound is a double chloride of gold and sodium, chemically formed as Na[AuCl₄], commonly known as gold sodium chloride. In its crude form, it appears as reddish-yellow crystals, soluble in water. In homeopathy, it is considered a refined evolution of Aurum metallicum, with stronger and more specific action on the uterus, bones, glands, and cardiovascular system.
In allopathy, this compound (and related gold salts) has historically been used in rheumatology for treatment of arthritis and some autoimmune conditions. It has been investigated for its anti-tubercular and anti-neoplastic activity.

Aurum Muriaticum Natronatum is a remedy of internal corrosion, spiritual and physical. It speaks to those consumed by silent grief, whose bodies manifest the heaviness of their despair in uterine tumours, cardiac collapse, or indurated glands. The essence is emotional collapse under the weight of suppressed suffering, often seen in women who bear too much. There is great resignation, sighing, and the need for renewal through light, connection, and resolution of their pelvic or cardiac pain.
